Daniel Barbu

Daniel Barbu is one of the founding partners of DBP. He is both an insolvency practitioner and a lawyer in the Bucharest Bar. Raluca Muraru has nearly 25 years of experience in national litigation, with in-depth expertise in civil law, administrative law, and insolvency law. She holds postgraduate degrees in Commercial Law and European Community Law and earned a Master’s degree in Business Law.

Raluca is both an insolvency practitioner and attorney-at-law, providing complex legal assistance in civil, banking, administrative law, and malpractice matters. She has successfully represented clients in litigation before Romanian courts in areas such as civil, administrative, and labor law and has significant experience in arbitration proceedings.

Ionela-Mariana Ghiugan served as insolvency judge at the Bucharest Tribunal between 1998 and 2022, specializing in insolvency law from 2004. She handled complex insolvency cases involving companies with significant economic activity, including the banking and insurance sectors.

Between 2007 and 2012, she worked as an inspector within the Judicial Inspection of the Superior Council of Magistracy, assessing the activity of judges-syndics nationwide and making proposals for unifying case law and improving procedural efficiency.

Since 2025, Ionela has been practicing as an insolvency practitioner at CII Ghiugan Ionela-Mariana.
